FTP Accounts
What's FTP? What?s an FTP account? When do you need one?
FTP (File Transfer Protocol), is the most popular method of sending files to a hosting account. With FTP software that is pre-installed on your desktop PC or laptop, you can establish a connection to your web hosting server and copy all of the website files that you want with a couple of clicks of the mouse. You can do this using a simple-to-work-with interface and it is as simple as dragging and dropping the abovementioned files. The advantage of using File Transfer Protocol is the fact that you are able to set up several accounts, each with a different level of access to your web space, so if you have to provide a 3rd party with access, for instance – a designer, they will be able to connect only to one particular directory and will not be able to access the rest of your content or any other information, such as private details. Three prerequisites are required in order to be able to make an FTP connection – a hostname, which is usually a domain name or an IP address, a user name and a password.

FTP Accounts in Hosting
Our
hosting packages will allow you to set up multiple FTP accounts with just a few clicks of the mouse through the Hepsia Control Panel and to define what files and folders each account can access. There isn’t any upper limit on the maximum number of accounts that you can set up, so you will be able to have as many as you wish at any given time. If you would not like to use a specific FTP account any longer or if a designer has accomplished their job and you do not want them to access your website content any longer, you can simply delete that account. The FTP section of the Hepsia Control Panel will permit you to check all currently active accounts displayed in alphabetical order, together with various options, which you can access with one single click of the mouse. You will be able to change the access path and the password, to download an auto-config file, etcetera. We also have an elaborate Help section, which can help you manage your FTP accounts in case you need to deal with any problems.
