.NAME Domains

Set up in 2001, the .NAME extension is the sole TLD supposed to be for personal sites only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are famous by. Initially, just 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you planned to reserve john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already purchased 3rd-level names remained active.

Through our firm, you can secure your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to modify the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registrar firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. There are no special restrictions on who can buy a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the goal behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
